3 Brothers, 3 Friends, 1 Love: Chapter 14 Part 2

Joe's POV

As we neared the couches the girls were lounged on I could clearly see that Carson had turned up - YEAH! - and she seemed rather happy. I'm sure she knew that we'd need to talk before I left, I was hoping it wouldn't be too bad.

"Hey Carson."
"Hi Joe."

I plopped down next to her getting comfy before talking again. I shuffled around in the seat for a while until she let out an irritated sigh.

"Sorry." I said sheepishly. "I think we need to talk."
"Yeah. I've got some things I want to say."
"Why don't you go first."
"Ok. On our date I....well my.....urm..?" she trailed off.
"Need some help?"
"Maybe."
"I'll start. On our date I admitted my feelings for you and then we kissed, and I thought, woah I think she likes me back. But then you shut down on me. You wouldn't speak and your tongue tied around me now. This isn't like you at all and I think I know why."
"You do?" she asked confused.
"I think you like me but, you won't admit it." I said triumphantly.
"Joe, that's just the problem. I do like you. But your leaving and I'm not waiting around for you. I'm just not like that."
"But....I'm coming back." I stammered.
"I've decided I'm gonna date Trey. And I don't wanna hear your opinion on him or this situation."
"You do realise your making a HUGE mistake."
"I think that's an opinion. Yours to be exact which I don't want to hear." she repeated.

I nodded my head silently and sank back into my seat. This would be a long 2 hours.

Riley's POV

When I saw Miley walking beside Nick my stomach turned. Everybody seemed to be taking this oppertunity to get their feelings off their chest, and I planned to do the same but, with Miley around it seemed wrong to tell Nick. They seemed happy and I didn't want to ruin their trip, especially as she was going with them as it could become awkward. I waved at Nick and gave him my biggest fake smile.

"Hey, how's it going?"
"Oh well; packing, fans, same old." He joked.
"Hi Miley."
"Hey, Riley. I didn't expect to see you here this morning."
"Well, Hayley and Carson were both coming so, what the heck right."

They both sat down on the couch opposite me. Miley had her hand intertwinded with Nick's and was constantly touching his hair. His extremely curly hair. It made me sick to watch. How badly I wanted to be the one touching his hair. The one going on tour with him. The one for him to look for in the crowd of screaming fans. Sadly, it would never be. Nick seemed perfectly happy with Miley and I couldn't break them apart, no matter how much I wanted to.

Miley's POV

What's she doing here? It's bad enough that Nick never stops talking about her, but to show up at the airport. This girl is seriously desperate. If only she knew. I had to decieve Nick and, his parents and pretend that Nick wanted me on this tour and that it would be a great surprise if I came. It was obvious I wasn't wanted and tensions seemed high, but once we got on the road things would ease up. I had toured with Nick once before. I was determind to make us work this time, no matter who I had to hurt to keep us together.

Nick's POV

Riley was here. She was here. Infront of me. I was leaving for 2 months and I so badly wanted some alone time with her. Well, I had devised a little plan.

"Miley, there are a few shops over there, would you go get me a diet coke for the plane ride?" I asked in my sweetest voice.
"Of course baby. I'll be right back."

She stood looked at Riley then walked away.

"Alone at last." I sighed.
"I didn't know Miley was going on tour with you."
"Neither did I." I laughed.
"You don't sound too thrilled."
"I'd rather you were coming on tour with us." I said.

I then realised that I had chosen my best friend over my girlfriend. I shouldn't be saying these things to Riley. It was Miley I liked not Riley.

"Sorry." I mumbled.
"Trouble in paradise?" she asked.
"Sorta. I'm just a little confused. That's all." I confessed.

We sat there in silence waiting for Miley to get back. 5 minutes later she turned up with my diet coke and a few magazines.

"Hey, I'm on the cover of this one." she joked, while holding up a copy of CosmoGirl.

Myself and Riley just stared at her before cracking up. I don't really understand what was so funny, but it was just the moment.
