Malta: Mdina (The Silent City)

Mdina, "The Silent City," is a medieval fortress city in Malta which can be traced back to 4000 B.C. It is very rich in history as well as architecture. Legend has it that St. Paul stayed in Mdina c.60 A.D. when he shipwrecked on the islands. There are many discoveries still being made in this fortress city today.
