it's not Bobby Keys playing, he got thrown out of the band by the time.

This was 1973 - I though (and Wikipedia seem to agree) that by this time Keys was still with the band. The split happened in 1974, AFAIK.

actually Bobby got thrown out in 1974. So this is him. And he came back in 1981. But he did get thrown out and legend is, they left him in a cab after he kept missing dates on a tour from partying.

man fragzem - for someone trying to remain neutral, you sure favor Wood - why? - i don't really think Ronnie is "holding back" - i think you saw him at his peak on the '76 tour and he gradually declined from there - of course, that's just how Keith wants it and exactly why he couldn't get along with Taylor - because he can't handle being shown up by his mate - i don't know how you can sincerely believe that Taylor and Wood are somehow in the same league- are we listening to the same track?

mr. michael you've got a point, but your obvious hostility towards Mr. Keith Richards undermines your argument. Do a thought experiment: there's no Keith Richards, but there is a band called the Rolling Stones. What are they like? Did Mr. Jagger compose all of the great music from '68 to '73? If not who helped him? Sway, a great song, is Mr. Taylor's, and some others, but his influence is post-Let It Bleed. Taylor is phenomenal, Wood is great, but it's the music that lives, not just performance.
