Senator Bernie Sanders has been one of the staunchest supporters for protecting and strengthening Social Security in the United States Senate. He points out time and time again that it has nothing to do with the federal budget deficit and is one of America's strongest programs and success stories.

"Hope" is not the point. There is no "true" hope either.

This recession is a corporate caused recession, it should not fall onto the poor, elderly and average tax payer to shoulder the burden of the recovery. Lower, not raise the retirement age, increase the social security payments, jobs will be created. A woman at work is 77 and cant' retire. Had this nation had in place a strong social security policy, she could have if she wanted, retired at 60. That would have been 17 years a younger person could have had a job and paid into social security.

You know, Social Security is not one of my main issues, this time.

I am much more concerned with these WARS, and foreign AID, than that.

In my mind, if we are not paying for that garbage (which IS against our own interests), we can easily afford SocSec.

Until we stop this spending where we don't have it, we won't keep out fingers out of the SocSec/MCare till.. We need someone who WANTS to make it work.

In my mind, that IS (only) Ron Paul.

Thank you mistermassive1 for your service to people like me who couldn't get there to march. Only when more & more show up to march, only when ppl get angry enough to take to the streets, will we ever have any real change. We will always have the soulless, the depraved, the greedy among us - we just need to stop idolizing and promoting them. Benefits should flow to ALL living breathing people citizens, not paper people corporations and their top execs!
