Wow, can't believe this is on here! That's me in the audience (front row, second from the right, black T-shirt) with a couple of mates (the two dudes next to me in denim jackets).
Us metal heads got to meet and talk with Dio after the interview then we went to the concert that night. Great memories!

Dio is a very respectful and influential person. Man I wish I could've met him, although I'm only 16. but what really pissed me off is when after he died, Westboro Baptist Church decided to protest his funeral calling him a satanist. Tell me one song that was satanic. Can't name any at all can't you? Exactly. Fuck you Fred Phelps, just go to Hell where you belong. Dio was an inspirational guy,

They were all called heavy metal bands back in the seventies flyingmachine.
Just metal got heavier and heavier as years went by, now they seem like rock bands.

@badoshka I've always thought that those bands represented the gray area between Rock and Metal.....but if Dio says it is so, then it is so.

@badoshka haha yeah I kinda agree with you. I guess he just didn't want to mention Sabbath ^^, besides the definitions of hard rock and heavy metal are often quite subjective so...

Around 1986....Intermission was the current album & Sacred Heart was the previous release, at the time.
