@glitterbypink Laura, I think Shanana000 makes a good point badly, I covered this in a youtube message to you (couldn't fit it in a comment) but it is a bizzare reason to hold that atheism is true because you don't know WHICH God made the universe. That's like claiming someone who has been shot in the head WASN'T murdered because you don't know who (out of a few possible choices) the murderer is.

"God exists" is just step 1. WHICH god that is would be waaay down the line of questioning.

@glitterbypink I think you have looked past my point somewhat Laura, all the things you mention are part of the natural selection algorithm. They all come under the general heading of natural selection. Adaptation is the product of natural selection. Fitness is a property of a being which is selected for. Genetic drift and mutation are just processes which create fitness (which can then be naturally selected for).

They are all interesting, but none of the things you mention avoid the problem

@stu1002 good call, sounds like you're one of the few people who paid attention during this lesson in high school. Genetic drift, mutation, gene flow, non random mating, adaptation, fitness, intra-sexual competition and inter-sexual competition are all things that contribute to evolution.

@glitterbypink Undoubtedly Evolution happens. Agree 100%. Natural Selection happens. Agree 100% . But is natural selection the sole cause of evolution? Nah. No chance.

@comeonfolks Alright, then you can show your affection, love isn't something concrete, love is subjective. Love is a word made up by humans to explain an intense connection to someone. I agree there is no objective standard for evil. There is a general idea, but what may be evil for some, may not be evil for others. We are different from other animals yes, we evolved differently, I fail to see how our separate evolution from other species is proof of a god.

@glitterbypink No, you cannot show your love to your mom. What does your love look like? Is it dffernt than my love? Is it blue, red or orange? Can you touch and see and sense your love? Or should I just believe in your love? We are different than other animals because we know what love is and we know what evil is. If you say that Hitler may be evil to some and not evil to others, then there is no objective standard for evil.
