@gomektampa RUTH UNDERWOOD. that was her name. man that must have been one incredible gig, huh??
she's great! i'm also friends with ed mann who also played in that band!

@gomektampa - i've been blasted for the che shirt before! i realize now that it pisses some people off. i've always been fascinated with che and fidel as well. not that they did good or not, but i dug there intentions in a way. i realize what fidel has done and i wouldn't wear that shirt in miami!!! che intrigues me. but thanks for not blasting me!!

you should give it a try on a piece like this sometime, it really changes a lot about the overall quality of sound of the instrument...all that aside, you really do some nice work.
-
also, i've seen a few of your vibes posts, and it would be cool to hear you on vibes with less hardware noise
-
Have to love the El Che shirt. Viva la vibraphone Tony...haha

is this all improv, or can I get a hold of the sheet music somehow?

this piece kinda reminds me of tapdancing or somthing like your mallets are dancing.
some nice work, i bet you'd sound better if you were more aware of the nodes on the instrument, unless of course the peice is written to be played on the nodes. it seems as though all of your accidentals are played on the nodes though and no natural tones...just food for thought, very nice otherwise!

@mikeyp68431 you're probably right, but i just never worried about that. i think in jazz guys are less worried about that, althought there are a few that i've talked to that really take care to play in the middle.
