Yeah, amputees are the STRONGEST !!!

Dtow, I am a C-Leg wearer. Have been an AK for 23 years. Your C-Leg did not break. It was the frame for your socket that failed. That should not happen without some warning, like cracks or movement in the attachment point.

@dtow Wow... I know anotherdrunkguy personally. He did receive his leg and he says that being 6'1" and 275lbs he never felt as stable on a mechanicle leg as he does with the c-leg. I actually met that guy at a gym and we're really good friends now. I lost my leg several years ago and seem to have a lot in common with that guy. I just thought it was crazy as hell that I was reading a post and saw his name down here. Sorry about the AFO, that sucks. I hear those things are hot.

@statelesswarrior I completely disagree with you. I've had mine for 2 years and have only had one issue thus far and it was with the rotating pylon "ankle" part of the leg. Took it to Hanger and it was fixed at no charge... Took about 15 minutes. I haven't fallen a single time since receiving the leg and although it had a higher learning curve than a mechanical, it was WELL worth it. In this video, his socket broke, NOT the C-Leg knee unit. It busted a circle out of his socket, clearly.

@statelesswarrior WELL, I RESPECTFULLY DISAGREE WITH YOU!. Okay enough of the rude yelling and to the reason of my reply... I have had my C-Leg serviced twice by Otto Bock and both times it was fast and came back with no issues. I've no reasons at this point to bash the company, but if you want to enlighten me, by all means please do so??? You need to realize the brake was not of Bocks fault, it was was other components that failed. outside of there area. Thanks for the reply @statelesswarrio,

A update since this was first posted.... I am no longer able to walk more then a few feet at a time. I've found out my spinal cord in the cervical and thoracic area (C2-T2) is being compressed by bone, and arthritis that was worsened by a previous surgery to that area. It's is further complicated by the fact that I also have M.S. and some of the symptoms of what I am having mimic M.S., but Neurology and Neurosurgery think it's not M.S. and I totally agree. Getting Mayo Clinic opinion soon.

Sorry hanyaalligator, no peg leg. I know a lot of amputees and not a one of them have what I think are talking about. Think you've watched a lot of old sinbad the sailor, Vikings, or pirate movies, LOL.. Might be fun to wear one and see what it would be like...

You are absolutely right, I really should not of said "C-Leg, Broke, etc", it should of said prosthetic leg breaks that was fitted with the C-Leg. Sorry for the inaccuracy of the title.
