@Draknfyre I sure hope so.
-
I got to mess around with it in the mission, but of course that wasn't a real demonstration of it's powers. The C-Store version with auxiliary craft and saucer-separation is coming out in a few weeks or something.
-
@Draknfyre I unlocked mine just the other day. It behaves like a Galaxy on steroids, and matched a Dreadnaught in combat performance with no upgrade consoles, even without the cannons and phaser lance.
^-^
-
Yes, I have one sitting in my inventory waiting for me to be able to use it.
-
@Draknfyre Ah. Okay. Have you seen the Enterprise-F from Star Trek online?
-
And the quotes are from Doug Drexler, the guy who designed it. You can go to his actual site and read him talk about it, too.
It was designed, in his own words, as a "quick and dirty" model for the show. The later images used a higher-detail model.
-
@Draknfyre Memory Alpha is a fanmade compilation. Star Trek's Wikipedia.
-
Considerando que a Enterprise-J apareceu de relance num episódio da série Enterprise (Xiindis) e que é só um conceito ainda, achei esta a melhor reprodução da nave.
-
Hit up Memory Alpha. It was designed for Enterprise. The image in Enterprise was low-detail. The higher detail image used in the Ships of the Line calender, and most likely the book cover, was done later.
-
@Draknfyre It appeared in the book "Ships of the Line" as a nameless.
-
No, it wasn't. It was specifically designed for the episode "Azati Prime". It wasn't even given a class name. It was later given a full model in a calender.
You can read the designer's own interview on Memory Alpha. I don't see how you can say it was seen before the series it was designed for.
They clearly designed it to resemble the NX-class.
-
@Draknfyre It was first seen before enterprise, fyi.
-
I like how the music is trying to compensate for the awful design.
This Enterprise would never survive in battle.
-
i like the lighting scheme but the design just looks brittle, like it'll slice through space quite nicely but perform any maneouvers and bits will start snapping off :P
-
total shit design
-
oh so the thinner the oval, the more futuristic the ship (that how it works?)
-
Personally, I think the J looks like the designers were trying too hard to make it look like the NX Enterprise. And since it was shown on Enterprise, that kind of shows where the designer's bias was.
-
i think the klingons helped design this vessel, it looks like a cross of constitution class and a war bird
-
In any case, thank you for letting me waist another 1:45 of my life xD
-
@OpenMawProductions They could always do some "multi-universe" plot device where the crew/crew member etc. finds their way back to the "prime-universe" although a slightly alternate version (with a point of divergence a few days prior to Nero's time travel from 2387) where Spock stopped the supernova and saved Romulus. Said universe does not contain the incursion of Nero into the 23rd century so everything played out as it did originally.
Sorry if I didn't articulate it properly.
-
One website I found on my travel said it was a mile wide and had a university inside! Imagine going to lectures and getting wasted on that thing!
-
Hideous.
A 1:45 minute video featuring only a crappy low-res still? Who does this to other people?
-
That is a dumb looking ship but interesting none the less.
-
Scotty I asked for a ship not a pancake with nacelles.
-
@kylephantom4 The people who hold the reigns to Trek now do not support the prime universe. They created the 2009 movie to get around and away from the establish canon and continuity just so they could do whatever they want free of those shackles. It's a smart move, and a bad move all at the same time. You wont see any "prime universe" stuff made anymore. It's finished.
This was like watching the original Alien: you have no friggin' idea what the damn thing looks like until the very end.

@someguy23
"not aerodynamic enough!?" why the hell would a spaceship design need to worry about reducing drag?? its in space!!
