Maiden flight of my ASW 28 high performance sailplane with ultra detail cockpit from Hobbyking. I've waited 7 months for local conditions to be perfect for her maiden flight. Well worth the wait.

  • @Maximilionalpha

    Thanks for the tip

  • Hi, nice video, from what I could see. Next time try adding some type of polarized lens to the camera, or a simple pair of polarized sunglasses to cut out the glare. :)

  • @BSharp6669 -- She slows down well enough as long as the CG is dead on. At one point in the video I bring her in behind the ridge to almost a hover. Landings are aided by flaps/spoilers. And yes you cab add a bit of ballast but not a whole lot to overload the wings. She does thermal well enough on good days but you have to understand, these sailplanes are high performance. As you saw in the video, they go quite fast.

  • Looks like she flies nice. Looks responsive! I'm thinking of getting one. How well does it slow down for landing? Can you add weight for windier conditions or to fly faster? Have you tried thermals? I'm very curious as I want to order one, but want to make sure she can do it all, slow, fast, soft, hard all of the above and more! Thanks and great vid!
