People aren't trying anything new in music. Those that do, get famous quicker like Asking Alexandria with trance type beats in their music brokencyde with false chord screaming and rapping etc. Ya know? Most bands sound exactly the same because they're too scared to stand out and getting judged.

Subject matter does not determine genre. There's lots of metal bands that talk about "sex drugs guns violence and money" too, does that mean they're part of the same genre as Hollywood Undead? No.
