Yes, a talented guy. Never heard of him.
-
was it the ass Schoenberg or was it Dubal that, in passing, referred to this incredible player as a vituoso technician and rather cold. Unbelievable that this guy is so unknown.
-
No doubt about it....this man was a fabulous pianist. Truly a shame that he is unknown to most. Just beautiful playing/MUSIC MAKING.

Saperton had at first studied with August Spanuth, but I have been unable to obtain much information about who he was and who he had studied with.
-
This is incredible- the performer, the composition, and the composer! This is the most interesting version of Fledermaus I have heard.
-
What an amazing touch...anyone who studied with this man was truly lucky...

Thank you for this wonderful recording.
Saperton obviously got shortchanged in the history of pianism.
He was a great technician, and also great rhythmically and tonally (dynamics, touch).
