"what is a VEGAN? A vegan (pronounced VEE-gun) is someone who, for various reasons, chooses to avoid using or consuming animal products. While vegetarians choose not to use flesh foods, vegans also avoid dairy and eggs, as well as fur, leather, wool, down, and cosmetics or chemical products tested on animals.

why VEGAN? Veganism, the natural extension of vegetarianism, is an integral component of a cruelty-free lifestyle. Living vegan provides numerous benefits to animals' lives, to the environment, and to our own health--through a healthy diet and lifestyle." - www.vegan.org

NOTE: Some vegans don't use bee products either, like honey or beeswax. I personally don't but the decision is a personal choice.

I speak about vegan alternatives and adapting foods.

Macorroni Salad Recipe

1/2 box of pasta (prepared and rinsed with cold water to cool)
1/4 cup shredded carrots
1 tablespoon red onion(chopped small)
about 1 tsp chives(diced small)
3 spoons of Veganaise or Nayonaise
about 1 tsp garlic powder

Mix ingredients well and chill for a little while. Enjoy!

The reason I went vegan was animal rights. The dairy and veal industry are connected to one another. Egg laying hens are treated terribly.

  • $4.50 for mayo?! I see the pentacle behind you. "When you have and hold a need, " find the recipe on the Net and make it yourself if it costs less to do so.

In a comment to a vegetarian witch's video, someone implied that neopagans who are true to their path should (now there's a nasty word) be meat eaters. I'm a vegetarian pagan who just turned vegan this month. So far, the gods have not retaliated.

Thx for the video and the recipe! *smile*

  • @awesomevegan I've checked out your channel and a couple of your videos- love it! Maybe you have already anwered my question in there somewhere... I'm going to get a cup of tea, sit back, and enjoy your videos tomorrow! : )

  • @awesomevegan Thank you, sweetheart! I would love to know what you do when you want to eat out. There are vegetarian options in the city I live in but very few vegan ones. If you would recommend maybe a chain-restaurant that you know is vegan friendly or any tips? That would help me a lot because eating out with friends is tough, but I wouldn't change it since I love being a vegan!

  • @ThunderMetalHead Veganism is a type of vegetarianism vegans exclude all animal products from their diet including meat, fish, birds, eggs, dairy and foods made from those products. Alternative products are available. Reasons for being vegan are animal rights, health, and environment. If you have any more questions just ask.
