My parents took Me and My Sister here to the Fairyland Amusement Park in Lyons Illinois, and also to Playland Park in Justice Illinois during the 1970's.

My Parents unfortunately...NEVER took the camera with them to these places.

I have happy if not now somewhat vague memories of these places.

I loved seeing Fairyland again thanks to Your old home movie from 1974.

I was 12 years old back then.

Grew up in Boulevard Manor/Cicero. Would sneak over there on our bikes as well as to the Lyons fishing pond. I remember Larry Dominick operating the Scrambler. Now those were the good old days. Too bad those towns are not like they used to be.

I use to lived in Lyons when I was a kid. Ride our bikes to Fairyland , back in the later 60s. We use to meet girls from Berwyn, Riverside, Stickney. We were only in 5th, 6th grade at the time. That was the start of the good old days, Lyons was a fun place, girls, blow off m-80s, homemade motor bikes, woods, river, swinging bridge, 2 bowling alleys, roller skating, or just stop at Sams Liquor for snacks and soda. Before FAIRYLAND was built, it was a real GYPSY CAMP with high privacy fence.

Wow! I grew up in Lyons and remember this place very well. I was 4 yrs. old the time this was taken! AWESOME
