  • @xander7ful Lucky, my grade school teachers were mostly all boring :<

  • @chibigrunt I used to have a 5th grade teacher like him. She was hysterically funny and very creative. That's why I learned so much in 5th grade.

  • I'm glad that at least this English drag queen is smart enough to say they landed at Plymouth and not "Plymouth rock", like most Americans outside New England say. The rock is just a stupid monument, you don't land a ship on a rock (unless you're the worst captain on earth)! I worked at an ice cream place in Plymouth all through high school and got incredibly sick of hearing tourists from Iowa bitch about the rock being small...sorry, you drove 1500 miles to see a fucking rock?!

This quote shows how Izzard is fast and loose with history. If he had checked, he would have realized that, in deed, Plymouth, Massachusetts did exist on the map before the Pilgrims departed from their second, unexpected port of Plymouth, England. John Smith already had the region mapped out. It was TRULY a COINCIDENCE. But, since most people never bother to check out historical facts, they just trust the funniest guy in the room, I guess.

  • the look on his face after he says, "just put some clothes on!" lol!

  • @Flubly Too right mate.

  • No wonder kids don't know anything about History, they can't distinguish entertainment from actual study. This guy's hilarious and does speak a lot of truth but it's never going to be a replacement for hard focus and study. Grow up and learn that making poignant jokes and generalizations that shed a little truth is not grounds for certainty on any issue. Eddie Izzard has his opinions from his own study, don't be sheep. Be discerning of his stuff, that's what he'd want.

  • I wish he was my History/Social Studies/Globalization/Focus teacher. I would've paid more attention in middle- high school. And I would pay more attention to my Global class now...

  • I love Eddie Izzard, he talks about historic stuff which for real is very serious, but he explains in a fucking hilarious fashion and he sticks to the truth about it. Perfect way to teach people about history. :D
