Anthem of the Slovenian Armed Forces

"Naprej zastava slave", (English: Forward, Flag of Glory) is a poem in Slovene language, which was used as the Slovenian national anthem between 1918 and 1990 and now remains as the official anthem of the Slovenian military.

The poem was written by Simon Jenko and set to music by Davorin Jenko in 1860.

Size of the army does not matter in our lands. We are small and we don't have a force capable of invading, but we CAN and WILL defend our country, not in open battlefields but in forests, mountains and plains, where numbers mean nothing, where size means nothing and with this advantage and with strength of our resolve we WILL protect our land from enemies!
