Tom Harmon TD run against Cal fan - 1940

I've seen this play being talked about on various Michigan boards lately so I thought I would post video of it. This is Tom Harmon's 86 yard TD run against California from 1940 where a drunk Cal fan came out of the stands and tried to tackle Harmon when he reached the goal line.

It's on the Heisman highlight video for Tom Harmon and Desmond Howard. I bought it about 10 years ago from the M-Den.

i once saw a video narrated by bing crosby about 'harmon of michigan'...this cal game was famous at the time...michigan was the first team to fly across the country for a football game. cosby and bob hope loved tom harmon.

@Pmaurizio412. LOL. yes I read the title, but only half way. Once I read Tom Harmon, I knew for sure that it was something cool watch and I didn't bother to read the rest of the title.

who is that guy trying to tackle near the end zone ?? he didn't appear to wear any helmet or any football gear at all. in fact, his pants were dark color which are different from Cal's uni.
