I hate that Tyra cuts everyone off to talk about herself instead of letting this beautiful Asian woman talk and anyone else who comes on her show! pleaseee, Tyra shut your mouth and let them talk!

@IluvKirito Nah, she looks better after surgery.
It doesn't matter now anymore; what's done is done.

The double eye lid doesn't make an asian person look less asian to me.

I kind of can't stand this because Tyra, while having family in Japan, should know that SO MANY celebrities in asia have this surgery, and it's super common. It isn't always about looking caucasian. Maybe it's also about looking like asian idols, Here in North America more parents are giving their teenage daughters breast and nose jobs for milestone birthdays. Anyhow, the double-eyelid crease opens up the eyes, and with all the 'eyes are windows to the soul,' I can understand th importance.

@IluvKirito I think a lot of that comparison photo issue, however, is that in the before-photo she's smiling, and in the after photo she is not. A smile brightens all your features, and I can't help wondering if Tyra's opinion on the surgery prompted them to choose the photos that way. Cuz I agree with you from the photos, but looking at her sitting there, she looks lovely and not tired at all.

i think asian peoples' eyes are beautiful - i always wanted eyes like theirs :) just my opinion hehe

@misanthropikbunny i agree, just cause you have lids , it does not mean your pretty.
-
It's the same as tyra banks making her nose holes smaller
-
@moodydoyle Maybe, but don't you think that all someone would need would be alittle excercise, or some work on self-acceptance?

not all Caucasian people have dpuble eylids.there are other cultures that have double eyelids too. im african american and i have natural double eyelids. everyone is beautiful in their own way and they dont need a doctor to tell them otherwise.
What? I'm Asian and I have a natural double lid. Does that make me part Caucasian? No. I look Asian, and post-surgery, that woman STILL looks obviously Asian. It's not necessarily a race issue as a whole.

In saying all this, this woman looked much better before the surgery. She looks more tired now than she did before the surgery.
