@Benedictwesson Yes Ben!!

We just got given this in our school big band. I've never been so happy in my life :D
-
The older tenor rips! hes so hip!
-
@Stratosteven You mean: a drummer...
-
He's not doing anything to denigrate the piece, the style is just a little too foreign to the scene and although the cat's got chops, he just lacks the subtleness I'm used to. He's playing it very straight and very safe. But I don't blame him, takes guts play with a band with Buddy's style and tenacity ingrained on it.

Steve looks a little old to be playing that strong. Not as good as old times though... But still great!
-
It just doesn't sound right with Phil's drumming style.

@Stratosteven watch the version with dave weckl, it's soooo good
-
I prefer Dave Weckl's version, Phil is playing it too safe and not showing what he is really capable of doing. Phi Collins is a great drummer and I wish more drummers would do what he is doing here. Wouldn't it be great to see a prime time tribute to Buddy Rich like this on television as opposed to the usual crap that is out there right now????

Lets not forget the Dave Weckl performance that set the bill for this number!
personally, i think it's sad that phil collins tried to take buddy rich's spot. nobody can fill his shoes. but great song and band!!

@simpkal He's not trying to replace Buddy Rich. He's paying tribute Buddy. Because he 's not playing like Buddy does not mean that his playing is sad.
Phil is being Phil not Buddy!...

They could have gotten a drummer a million times better than phil collins to do this.

Really? Yes there are better drummers but not a million times better.
