TA seriously who kkkarez? Your just jealous cuz u havent progessed in 30 yearz. @ least Salba kkkan roll in2 poolz!

  • Tony and Stacy are Mexican.

  • @currencyspice Hey, I just checked, and yep, Stacy Peralta's latin origin is Mexican. Because he's white I would have thought Argentinian, Uruguayan, Spanish. Maybe he comes from the rich white Mexican elites. I know a Peralta family in Venezuela, and they are white and rich. But it's just so great as you say that in those days no one gave a rats ass who was from where or what skin tone anyone was. It was all about sharing. You were lucky to live that. Legendary!

  • @LautnerLovely Don't forget Nathan Pratt and Arthur Lake.

  • @Chavezoid Not sure if Peralta is latin as per Mexican but it is a Spanish/Catalan name as well. I was from back in the day from 74 to 1981 and remember many excellent hispanic skaters that were fearless, some of the best. It was a wonderful time when all races could come together and share empty pools, break bones, share laughs and run from the police. I remember many of us were worried about getting drafted after Vietnam ended for the next conflict. Wouldn't trade that time for anything.

  • Now is when I come to realize that most of the top skaters back in the day were latin. Tony Alva obviously, but Peralta is a totally latin last name, so Stacy Peralta had to be latin too. Anybody know?

  • Hahaha this song is awesome.

  • @LautnerLovely

dude skip was in the movie and what the "Hell" do your age have to do with anything??

  • All of us "down south skaters" were heavily influenced by Tony and the rest of the Z boys. As a matter of fact, I remember a couple of friends having their high school pictures taken as Tony Alva and Jay Adams. I had mine taken as Paul Constantineau. This was back in 1977. I couldn't progress to the level of these guys and stated surfing in 1978 and hung up the skateboard.. You couldn't ask for a better time to grow up. The music, skating and surfing was the best.

  • Awesome.. \m/ .. \m/
