@zzajbird I was there at the time, he used a bow.
Actually a couple of weeks ago he gave my the bow as a souvenir when it broke at the sound check of a concert where I was the stage-manager.

@geodude501 He is striking the rim of the snare with a bow. At 1.20 he is doing the same on the cymbal.

@geodude501 nop. it's a plastic ruler. try it on a table, press half the ruler with your hand against the top of the table at the edge leaving the other half loose. then bend the loose end and release it, you will hear this sound. try changing the portion of the ruler that is "outside" the edge (i'm sorry for my english, not my mother tongue). hope I made it clear.

i know but it"s hard with just one camera ! believe me. to have a nice shot, nice movement and be in time !

Oh--I totally understand... That is just the whiny guitar player in me wanting to see what the heck Frank is doing with his fingers during his solo!! You did a great job and I really appreciate the video! Thanks!
