Unfortunately, no. You can only update your software/Operating System to the latest version of that release. OS X 10.4 (Tiger) and OS X 10.5 (Leopard) are two different releases.

when you do this can you also update the software on the mac like 10.4.6 to 10.5.2

@MotoCrossBoy104 Unfortunately, you need to have admin rights to install things.

@NemesMarcus I have not heard of people having those types of problems with 10.5.8. But I would check on the mac forums to be sure. Go to macosx (dot) com, click on forums, sign up for free, and post your question. You can also search the forums there for "10.5.8 problems". Good luck!

Whats the differance with tiger and leopard sorry this question might be dumb but i have been using windows my hole life and thinking of buying a mac

The only dumb question is the one that is not asked. Leopard and Tiger are just names of the OS. So, to relate it to Windows, Leopard is like Windows XP and Tiger is like Windows 2000 (and Snow Leopard, the latest version of the Mac OS, is like Windows 7). I would definitely suggest buying a Mac, as you will no longer have to deal with Viruses or Spyware. There are none written for the Mac. ;)
