If I could have any car, it would be that. I've been a fan of 96' Impalas since they came out. I think the jacka**es that put 24 inch wheels on them are retarded.

Bad ass !! Nice

@09manwarrior I don't know if this helps but i had a 96 trans am F lt1 and the check engine light was ALWAYS ON. I'd run a code reader and nothing would show. a buddy of mine had a camaro lt1 and his would do the same, It just might be the mara and T/A but maybe your impala is doing the same?

hey, really nice car, sounds great!!! i have a 2001 impala ls with a 3.8 series 2 and i also removed the resonators and my check engine light is always on. theirs no way around it unless you unplug the led in the dash, i've never have a problem with the car because of it. just make sure that once in a while you read the codes on your cars computer just for your own curiousity.

I just bought me a 1996 ss but I think ima go with the glasspack cherrybombs tho...bit this almost made me change my mind
Okay, chopped off the resonators and installed some tips just after the tires. Now, the service engine soon light came on. I'm going to take it to advance auto parts to reset it. I heard they do it for free. Did you have this problem?

@09manwarrior no i never had a problem like that.. I don't think that removing the resonators would activate the service engine light but i'm no expert. It sounds like you've got the same exhaust setup as my car does, i'd love to see a pic or vid if you get the chance!

Hey, I gotta 95 roadmaster with same set up as the impala ss. Just put the 40s on it and it sounds quiet. It still has the resonator tips on it, but does it get louder over time?

@09manwarrior Mine didn't really get louder over time, but it did change tone. If you really want it to get loud, take out the resonators. I did and I love the sound now.
