  • Casinos do not add any value to an economy. If it was that easy, every country on earth would open a casino and be rich. On the contrary, casinos hollow out the culture, and hollow's the working class out financially. Casinos are a means of transferring the working class earnings to the upper class. Now the working class/middle class is broke. This was going to happen sooner or later. And now it has happened!

  • @USZombeeKing I agree. Living in Vegas I never go down to the strip, even when company comes into town. I learned when I was about 16 or 17 when we would go to the casinos out of boredom. We would sneak and drop quarters into the machines. Pretty much everytime I would just drop the money in and never get anything back. I would think ot myself "how is this fun, I am just giving my money away".

  • goodkidz-I tell my clients that if you are going to live in Vegas you might as well buy as opposed to renting. The reason is because you can purchase for significantly less than you can rent for. I believe prices will continue to fall maybe another 15-20% before we bottom but rents are still high enough to justify buying. I just bought this past January after renting for the last couple years and am very satisfied with the decision.

  • I've got a friend from Vegas and he confirms what this guy says about more than 40% of homes sitting vacant. When they sit vacant, squatters come and then gangs take over, and everything implodes because no one is ever going to want to buy those homes because of the environment the vacant homes have created, no matter how low the price goes.

  • are you kidding? no way is vegas going down like detroit.

i'm not surprised that there are empty houses in vegas.

that's normal. you can't expect people to go to vegas and spend

right now, but don't worry. it's not going under.

it all depends on the nation's economic health.

    ........ok, start worrying.

  • @aholmes99 Who is "they"? Take responsibilty for yourself, dickweed.

  • @lasvegascollapse I never understood that either. I heard Las Vegas is sooo bad

  • THE HOUSING MARKET WAS A CROP OF CRAP ANY WAY. IF YOU LOOK AT A HOUSE THAT WAS BUILT IN THE 50'S AND 60'S THAT WAS BROUGHT FOR 5 GRAND. SELL FOR 300 THOUSANDS. THAT'S CRAZY. A OLD RUN DOWN HOUSE.

  • more like loss vegas its gonna dry up and blow away its a freakin desert

  • Many areas of LV are already in worse shape than Detroit. At least Detroit can grow it's own food and has great amounts of fresh water nearby.

  • Hey things are not good here but Californias imminent failure will be a boom for Nevada. California continues to suppress its citizens and give their rights away to illegals. Be patient my brother the Californians are coming in droves and soon
