The quiet and quaint town of St. Francisville, Louisiana known for it's centuries old Antebellum homes and gardens, braces to face the Mississippi River overflowing its banks. As this footage was shot earlier today, the videographer noticed schools of small fish actually swimming in one of the flooded streets (frame 2, lower right hand corner). The river is expected to crest near 60 feet by Monday, April 21. Local authorities are using sandbags to try and prevent the floodwaters from overtaking the area known as Bayou Sara, the area of St. Francisville fronting the Mississippi River. St. Francisville is located aproximately 45 minutes north of Baton Rouge.
