The only singer who has really remained spot on from their old voice is Gladys Knight. As far as Aretha's voice goes, she can still add a lot of soul to a song. This is not one of my favorite songs, as it's not really giving Aretha a chance to open up and let loose vocally to see what she can do vocally. She has done some nice live performances with her current vocal state (not necessarily the grammy's)

This song Rocks!!! Areatha and John sound great together. And for the naysayers, the Queen is hitting notes in this song that most of the younger female singers cant imagine hitting. The real test would be to put the youngsters on the stage with the Queen.
