  • Incredible song, I love it! The only problem with this version, in my opinion is the drums... They´re too simple compared to the original.

  • I agree. Bowie should have kept Dennis Davis around. greatest drummer he's ever worked with. Zach Alford's playing is a bit vanilla, but he was powerful enough to complement a lot of the later Earthling material.

  • GOD

  • LODGER! This is the line-up of 'Outside'. And Alomar....AMAZING!

  • beautiful song!

  • @ff8ramirez this version is based on the re-worked look back in angr bowie did in 88 with reeves gabrels and erdal kizilcy who played bass and drums just as zach alford did here. it's not the same version as in the lodger album

  • This arrangement of the song ROCKS! Just goes to show you that even some of his more underrated tracks can be timeless.

  • Yeah - the drums and the guitar are way restrained compared to the album. And with both Alamar AND Belew on stage. What a waste.

Alford is clearly a rock solid technician but for god's sake - open it up a bit, pal.

It must be Bowie driving the arrangement. Wonder what the motivation is (was).

  • maybe the mix is not good. They may have made his voice stronger than the other instruments but I do agree it sounds more like pitter patter as opposed to a thunderous roar that is on Lodger. The guitar sounds better on the original, too.

  • ha ha i love the parker flys
