On an island close to the Nunavut's captial of Iqaluit, this bear was probably hungry and came by around midnight to see if he can get a free meal. These bears are not friendly they will attack and ripp you apart in a flash, as Kootoo Shaw was ripped apart by a Polar bear smaller then this one.

  • Damn he does'nt seems scared at all at least it was a young one.. I mean i would see a bear that close to me i would want to have a weapon with me for sure ^^

  • They don't "actively hunt" for humans! In fact very FEW polar bear attacks on humans have EVER been reported. Although it is true that wild carnivores will attack you if you get too close, it's not fair to portray polar bears as blood thirsty villians. They have to eat meat to survive; they're not "evil" creatures by any means. For very accurate info. about polar bears please visit Polar Bears International- they are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the study and aid of polar bears.

  • that why we should be green so they can get their ice land back that is not near the villages

  • forgot about ole Mopby Dick. lol

  • Largest land dwelling carnivores. I think sharks and orcas got them beat

  • stupid people getting killed more often by animals than people who respect animals.

  • cute

  • Yeah it might look like it wont attack.. that's the biggest mistake you could ever imagine... maybe it's their way to lure in food and then strike and kill it. Never go near a bear any kind of bear not even a koala they will kill and eat you!

  • Standing up,the big ones are as tall as an elephant. They can smell prey 30km away. They have the strength to pull a 2ton walrus out of the water while standing on ice. And they are active year round, they don't hibernate like other bears. Think the guys shooting the video aren't armed. You never go into polar bear territory without a high powered rifle, even pilots of supply planes and helicopters carry rifles with them in case they go down.
