those are not Kenyi,

actually they are afras' not kenyi cichlids i have them and the stripes on there body is from head to tail.

that male looks like a newly found afra from lion cove its in circulation but hasn't yet bean properly classified

ya thats deffinatly not a male kenyi ciclid the males are yellow, they are probably cross breeding

Iv never seen a dark blue Kenyi. You sure you dont have a blue zebra and think its a Kenyi? There are other fish that you can mistaken for a kenyi. But then again, they're your fish. Who am I to tell you what you have, lol.

This video doesnt do the male any justice then, he has female markings. Often if males are not present, females will display mating rituals with each other

The color of the video isn't the greatest but they look like they're breeding to me. I just bought 3 females and a nice yellow male kenyi today. :)
