@nondor13 In layman's terms, the errant "badmouthing" is projected by those who haven't had the opportunity to learn about other forms of music that go beyond what they hear in the mall or on the radio. It's a shame USA grammar schools don't integrate music appreciation into the classroom.

@Alphaomegus with the exception buddy rich, gene krupa, gadd, and that dude from journey (saying gadd and the dude from journey might be pushing, because people dont necessarily know them like people knew krupa or rich i dont even know the dude from journeys name) not a whole lot of world class drummers were mainstream and im pretty sure the same goes for just about every other instrument so screw the mainstream

Yea, i dont know what your taking about, maybe its just not your type of music, keep that sort of thing to yourself and just dont listen to it or go watch another video, i would like to point out also the list of players, they are all profesnials and some of them they are the best in the world, like Phil Teele in the LA studios. Look at the list some of best musisians man....

I've been following up on some of this errant badmouthing and have discovered that much of it is not even really felt. It has to do with the context of youtube commentary which has some ratio of anonymity and extroversion that (apparently) encourages viewers (predominantly semi-informed ones) to derogate.
