my dynavoice defenition dm-5 speakers with 5.25 inch kevlar basses didn't do that well but still very good for being 5.25 inch. i might actually use peerless xxls in a subwooferbuild and get the complete frequency range from 20 to 32000hz covered

nice sub bro! :D

wat amp

Boost is making the sub sound "laggy" and it really destroys the fast response. Where things are bad with bass reflex enclosures, active boost make things worse. Avoid it with BR, but it can be used effectively to give closed enclosures better response down low (15-35 hz).
Good bass reflex enclosures don't need a active boost, if they do, give them bigger enclosures and a longer port for low tuning.

i asked "Why"...not "How"...:-))

The boost can be removed by replacing some resistors on the amp, pretty easy to do. Search for rythmik amp mods, otherwise contact me by mail, i''l send the sheet to you if you want ;-)

why did you get Rid of the Boost?....Nice Sub and Video!
-
I didn't. Just moved it to the lower regions (17-18hz) so it's not cutting the response @ 20-25 hz :)
Do you have a box plans?
