Sir, if you hold the match downwards at a 15 degree angle degree from vertical and guard it from air flow with the left hand, it will rarely go out.

When I smoke my pipe, the center of it burns faster and the edges tend to stay unburned. I smoke slowly and light the whole top surface. Is this normal or do you have any suggestions for me to avoid this? Thanks

@Tomahak666 yes, exhale LIGHTLY through the pipe every few minutes, that will widen the burn
