An on-location shoot at a metal fabrication plant. A lot of their work is for the government, and this time the products we were shooting were for the space shuttle. The best angles for shooting could not be achieved because of problems due tothe precarious locations, and the fact that the metal structures were still actually being formed and finalized. Our only solution was to use the Zig-View device, which enables accurate viewing of what the camera is seeing....with the camera on a 10 foot pole, thru the use of a small video camera which attaches to the camera's viewfinder, and then transmits a live image to a small, remote monitor, which I've got hanging on a cable around my neck. The camera is focused and fired using a shutter release which is conveniently located on the top of this remote monitor

  • whats the point in looking at the LCD using the monocle? I can see the usage for large format cameras, but here all that one can see, is a magnified grid of pixels.

  • Hi,

    Thanx for the note.

The main reason for the loupe is for the elimination of glare....it's really amazing how effective it is.
