Speed test of verizon fios and my 35 Mbps download and 35 Mbps upload.

Install was phenomenal, ran all new rg6 coax throughout my entire house for free. Free install, got the ultimate package.

Sorry for quality, shot on iPhone.

  • I had Optimum, was getting around 7, then paid for boost, was around 16k for a while but went back down to 7. So i called them and told them I was going to fios, that next day my speed was 27k, but too late, i got fios, the 15k plan, and I am getting 14 to 18 steady now. at least fios gives what i paid for

  • @johnmonk66 Yeah, I had the same experiences. The internet speeds are definitely affected by total usage (as the Verizon commercials show), but I also think that Optimum throttles high usage users. Whenever I would torrent a lot, my internet speeds would CRAWL... Congrats on Fios, I'm sure you won't regret it. 2 years so far and still ZERO problems and 100% uptime & performance.

  • I am moving out of my apartment cause they've an exclusive contract with ConCrap aka Carpinfinity. You're right, FiOS is awesome. My aunt has FiOS and her HD picture quality is unbelievable like BluRay unlike ConCast. Nothing can beat Fiber Optics. Thanks for your post.

  • @baltimoredude1 Haha, yeah, the HD is much better, but personally, I noticed the BIGGEST difference on SD content on an HD tv. With cable, it just looked terrible - nearly unwatchable, at least with FIOS you don't really notice it too much...

  • @Security98 Haha, yeah. I didn't notice that you could see that in the video until you pointed it out. OOPS, lol. Free show I guess... Good thing I only recorded this on my iPhone so you don't get a high definition view!

  • any1 else notice hes in his underwear on the tv.

  • Do an overseas test just for the hell of it :P

  • @colinfarel Yup, some of the many changes. Going to make a new video soon showcasing all of the new features/changes...

  • @colinfarel

MSG is now available in HD, also the Tennis channel on FiOS.

  • @jctevere

As far as News 12 is concern... I listen to news 88AM, 1010WINS. I don't care about News 12, and I think it is worth for the $240 to $300 savings per year to miss news 12.

  • @johnmonk66 Same Here

  • @jctevere lol, will be moving in 2 months, don't know if verizon is available where I am going, darn it, will hate to get stuck with cable again

  • @dagopremium Haha, thats how real men make youtube videos. Fios has been awesome, a bunch of new features (will have to make another video soon) and I have only lost service once in the almsot 2 years I have had it - and it wasn't Verizon's fault. Believe it or not CABLEVISION installers CUT my Fios line when installing a new line for my neighbor's who were having trouble with optimum. More proof cablevision sucks, haha!
