  • Hello there, the speed feedback is made by the controller? or the Tach seen in the motor shaft goes to the PC parallel port? and is controlled by the mach3? I mean, do you use any input to the PC? Great Explanation!!!

  • @lyntoncnc

The speed feedback is coming from a CNC4PC C3 -index pulse card that connects to an input on the Breakout board for the parallel port. What I have done is used the index card as a tachometer so that Mach3 can calibrate the pulses to the correct speed of the motor within a few RPM. It is certainly close enough for milling.

    I use a CNC4PC c11g board going to a C3 index card.

  • So this is what you buy with the money from an MPG? Good to see you.

  • @CncObsession Lol, you too. That was on my bench the day you were here. I had just got done filming that clip. :-)

  • that is part of the spindle speed such as m3 s2000 or in reverse m4 s2000

  • Depending on the tool I switch out the M3 command for M4

  • What command is used to reverse the motor in Mach 3?
