  • Please don't take offense to this query, as I ask you this with the utmost respect. Who was your Catch Wrestling instructor?

  • I take no offense. I have had the pleasure of training with many great catch wrestlers. I trained with Erik Paulson, I have met and work briefly with Tony Cecchine, but my biggest influence is Paul Moller..Cheers

  • where is ur school at?? I WANT TO LEARN CATCH REALL REALLY BAD!!

  • youve trained with erik paulson and and tony cecchine wow i really look up too those guys

  • go tell that to hulk hogan!!!

  • Umm yeah Pls dont take offense. But the swim move you demonstrated is not a swim move at all really. Its all just poping the elbow. Wither your arms inside or outside. You can still pop the elbow, and shoot under neath.. But great takedown tho Thanks!!

  • Yes Lancashire wrestling is a foundation for catch wrestling as well as Irish Colar and Elbow as well as the indigenous wrestling styles of the middle east and asia/india. Also catch had a historical encouter with the judo kodakan and many throws and submissions have Japanese flavor to them.

    Cheers

  • By the way, That studio youre demonstrating youre techniques in is awesome. That's what an MMA studio should look like.

  • Isn't catch wrestling, derived from Lancashire wrestling?

  • Only if you want to loose. You can use catch wrestling, folk style wrestling, greco-roman wrestling in a real fight. Pro wrestling is based on these but over the decades it has lost alot of it validity
