One of the most beautiful pieces in all of American music... This goes out to all Veterans, men and women who died trying to protect this country, innocent victims, and to those who are currently serving our country. Thank you and God bless..

Been a week don't care stupidity must never be left alone
To stop even more deaths on both sides of the conflict if you wanna see it as a cowardice thing go ahead Would of been more deaths on both sides of the spectrum especially when the Japanese government at the time trained its civilians women and child to repel the invaders and we're talking about the same people who commit suicide if dishonored and also towards the end of the war filled their planes full of fuel and crash them into ships

Exactly it is not an American song.It was penned by an Englishman by the name of John Newton in 1821.He was a drunken brutal captain of a slave ship who saw the err of his ways and this song,if you listen ,closely resembles the songs sung by slaves down in the bowels of his ship who were rowing the ship.He became an ordained minister after his 'awakening'.The Scots were the first to put it to music and wow is all one can say...touches the soul of everyone who hears it,always has and always will
