i was stationed on her from 1997-2001 i had good times and good shipmates there and a great captian! i miss her.

I was a tiger on that ship in i think in 1998 or 1999 the coolest trip ever. I got on in hawaii and went to san deigo . My brother was a marine on that ship amazing time

I was on the 07' 08' deployment along with assisting in the decommissioning.. was the best Command i've ever known.. I'd do 20 years on that ship if I could.. RIP USS Tarawa LHA-1

I was the Eagle of the Sea from 98-02, had some good times there and saw some cool stuff, like when the CO held capt mast in the hanger for people in ENG dept for hassing lol.

i was on there from march 15th 2005 to the last day(march 31st 2009) it was a ride i'll never forget so many good and bad memories.....R div for life

The Uss Tarawa was my very first command. 1997-2001. Completed two west pacs, Had alot of good friends, I mis that ship.

i served on her from 80 to 84 . she was a good ship and all that served on her are and will be the best crews the navy ever had .
