You can get online now for Omega strain, someone made a private server to do so. Just go to gamefaqs and head to the omega strain forums to find out how to get online.

I got it yesterday on my first attempt after getting pissed at my tv for hours the night before trying to do it lol

@Tbar67 I'm glad to hear there is private server up and running. Good luck to all the other players playing and finally completing their respective created characters. The radio headsets were a must though in working together and some people actually had cheats enabled to run fast etc etc online which made things doable. Glad I have a few completed characters for keepsakes. Happy playing.

@lorzate my guess is one would need to hack the game to make the character run faster etc etc and even if the silo were possible with jump glitch (haven't ruled that out), the problem is that if you fail you have to start from scratch on the mission and it just becomes more of a nuisance. At the very least you should have been able to call the elevator back down in the silo to try again. Poorly designed game but had its fun moments.

@lorzate to my understanding some servers are back up but haven't verified that and best way to do it when playing with others online is to use a two way headset to communicate with other players and that really worked well many years back as I played with people that knew what they were doing. I have yet to see someone posting a video of getting the jump glitch correct in the silo and I'm sorry, you just don't have the time allotted to blow up the bridge in Belarus.

@lorzate I agree however you still can't complete all the objectives and the jump glitch can only take you so far. You still don't get the team patches. While this game was exceptionally good for it's time, the flaw is that they f'd a lot of people over that didn't have online access. If there was a way to post my saved filed to the net I'd do it in a heartbeat, but where would the fun be in that?

@Tbar67 it's insane to even waste your time trying because that and the bridge objective were meant to be done on team which was very stupid of the game designers to even do. Fortunately I played back in 2006 when the servers will still up and had my two way speaker and fast hotel/motel connections and had fun LOL! One important thing when doing it over the internet, headsets are so much preferable.
