Samsung SyncMaster 2493HM LCD Repair

Hey guys...here is another quick and easy repair. This LCD came to me and would not power on. I checked the power supply and sure enough we had a bad 2200uf 10v cap. Easy fix that anyone can do.

I had excactly the same problem and i didn't use the screen for like 2 years and then i saw this video and tried it...and guess what screen im using right now? Thank you very much man, i saved for much money instead of buying a new screen. It only costed me like 1 dollar!?!?

i work in Manhattan by world trade..i found 2 of these monitors in the garbage in mint condition 3 days ago...both wouldnt power up...i both of them to work now . 10 bucks in parts for both..thanx

I would also like to know the answer to this. AFAIK the cap that this guy replaces is still good on mine and yet it seems like the back light will not power on even though the blue power light is on and the monitor is recognized by the PC. thanks
