There are keys within the text of Revelation 1:7 that point us directly to AD 70! Yet, most commentators are so "pre-disposed" to the late date and the futurist paradigm that they totally ignore what the inspired text says. Take a look and pass it on!

  • The sad thing about the majority of Christian teachers is almost nothing is taught about the Great Tribulation period leading up to ad70. The New Testament is read and then taken out of context and applied to our Greek influenced generation, a sorry case of bad hermeneutics. Keep up the good work Don. peace :)

  • Rev. 1:7 is great for pointing out the first century context of the events in the prophecy. Arndt & Gingrich note the Greek phrase for "those who pierced him" is preceded and followed by "kai", and that construction is the explicative usage. So, as you point out, it modifies or explains "every eye shall see Him". "Even" is a good translation, but I personally prefer "namely" to make it clear that those who crucified Christ would see the events vs. 1 says "must shortly come to pass".
