Daito ryu Aikijujutsu

Las tecnicas las muestra el mismisimo Tokimune Takeda,hijo de Sokaku Takeda y Soke del Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu hasta que fallecio en 1996. Pertenecen al grupo Hiden Mokuroku que son un total de 118 tecnicas y son el jujutsu basico de Daito Ryu.En niveles superiores se enseñan las tecnicas de Aiki y se combinan con las basicas.Espero que os guste esta pequeña muestra tanto como a mi.

This is nice question.Well,the purpose is the same in all martial arts,self defence,but Daito ryu is a koryu(old style).In the time when these technics were developed,japanese people expend a lot of time sitting like this and develope technics from this stance was very important for them.The etiqette rules inside palace said nobody can be standing in front of nobles or high class people.that´s why Takeda´s clan created this techniques called Oshikiuchi to be able to fight in those situations

Done bjj (it's judo folks, read up) and japanese jj for over 20 years.

This is kata (form) practice of a sort. Bit like drilling in judo or bjj.

You cannot understand or appreciate aiki arts by watching videos. You have to feel it being thrown.

Many techniques cannot be practice safely as sparring.

Grasp the difference between match fighting for entertainment and spontaneous clashes.

Totally different.

Una pregunta que no me queda clara: ¿es lo mismo el "Daito ryu Aikijujutsu" que el "jujutsu"? Porque en la wikipedia, por ejemplo, hay un artículo de cada uno y son diferentes.

@H3ll533k3r  when you're down, minding your own business and an attacker comes in and he is interrupting you're tea time, you will have to respond, so thats why :). haha. You will need to respond for an attack from various positions in case you are down, on the ground in a battle, thats why.
