Although you can't really see it clearly because of my lame videography, we had a dragonfly swarm in in my area of Lynnwood. I believe they were Green Darner Dragonflies, the official insect of Washington state, and though there were quite a few flying around, I saw none of them mating. They disappeared the next day.

  • Wow, I wouldn't have had the courage to be out there filming! Dragonfly swarms are scary. Is that them I hear buzzing?

  • Some of it is, as there really was a swarm of them. I don't think they posed any threat though! (And thanks for the comment!)

  • Dragonflies do not bite so there is nothing to be afraid of, although they do have names that imply that they bite, such as horse stinger, and the root word of their name Dragon. Anyways they dont bite, they may try, but they fail to break skin.
