AIG's balance sheet for the final three months of last year showed a loss of $62 billion for the US insurance giant.

That figure is despite the corporation already receiving a total of $150 billion in taxpayer money.

Now it has been given access to another $30 billion with government officials admitting it may not be the last time the government has to step in.

John Terrett reports.

  • Hey listen you stupid pair of stinking wooden clogs, it's not the U.S. and the UK you should be whining about. It's the greedy individuals themselves. I'm quite sure that Holland has big fat greedy pigs among its population. So shut your cheese-hole and get your facts straight. And after you do that, go smoke a huge reefer and buy a drugstore hooker for 5 cents. Idiot.

  • The people who took the huge bonuses out that bailout money....they should be fucking ashamed of themselves. That's all I've got to say

  • Our flag should hav a white background with an insurance company in 1 corner a bank in the other rockefeller in the bottom corner and a politician in the last corner with the average taxpayer bent over in the last corner. Afterall its their country. When r we going to take it back? Wake up!

  • well you have your opinion. just don't be foolish that for example USA doesn't have master and servant thing. cause it does but is much more hidable then you think. and does bible say that you have a right to wear arms or even write on youtube

  • AIG is crap health insurance. a thousand bucks a month, HUGE deductible, 80/20 policy, won't cover babies or baby making. When you do make a claim you have to fight for every cent. Total ripoff I say let them fail & the Federal government will do a better job of directly insuring people.

  • Throw more money at these dead firms so their executives can pocket them. Last year one trillion USD went missing, now another trillion is being thrown away. The US are doing a great job at bankrupting themselves, the only problem is they're not doing it fast enough.

    Die USA

    Die UK

Good riddance to two of the most useless tin pot dictatorships in history.

  • ain't that the truth, this is what happens when eight years of bad decision making costs us.

  • are you kitting me!! " icanwalk" tell me which muslim country don't have Master?and billions of servant they do have stop fooling yourself, look around you foolish.islam+ means= Master and sevant.fool

  • not necessarly, we'd be better off saying its customers killing off the company and then with the money we used on the customers they'll be able to survive long enough to make deals with other companies.
