well they can change the codes of the updates to take it out if its coseing problems it wasn't in the software or hardware it was in something else

i have a 60GB and when i install the addon the game still says "unsupported data"

i'm creating another video of this ps2 games playing on ps3 for feature rereference to show every one that the PS3 dose not have BC so thay can STOP complaining about BC and believe me when i say that there isn't any BC in the ps3 without the PS2 game data downloaded.

that download has nothing to do with enabling ps2 BC on a ps3. it just allows ps2 games that supported the ps2 hdd to use said hdd features once again. if your ps3 doesn't support ps2 BC, downloading that won't do anything. it means that your console doesn't have the software emulator or the hardware.

I have hardware in my ps3 that enables ps2 BC (I have a US launch model)

i hate to brake it to you my borther from another mother but yes the ps3 did have the BC but after the update 2.0 came out for the ps3 it was taken out by sony to allow the ps3 the run smoothly anyway i tryed a ps2 game when i got my ps3 from walmart and yes it did play the game but after 2.0 and all them other updates sony took it out and you had to download that thing in the store yes before i downloaded it, it didn't play any ps2 game i have but after i got it it played them without problems

just try it and find out if it don't work then it means that you don't have a 60 gig ps3 WILL NOT WORK with ps3 slim or the 20 40 120 160 and the slim won't work at all but as long as you have the 60 gig then your good to go! hope this helps but all though this video wasn't much help at least for alot of people

well all i know is that if you want one thats really backward with ps2 games get a 60gb ps3 because i'v had mine since 4 years ago and it will not work on other systems sorry dude..

Go figure...I tried to see if it works for 250 gb PS3, but I'm guessing it has to be around 80 gb; plus I'm from USA still won't work somehow...
