@peakper4mance Bro, I've seen people steal crap at Target before, one saw some lady run out with a bunch of crap, as soon as she ran out they called security, the security guys ran out of the store and chased her...5 mins later they were dragging her back into the store, they kept here there untill the Police came. If it was illegal for security guys to detain an offender, than the police would of had a go at them. But it's not illegal, they do it all the time.
