  • @minoozola perhaps you're right; i've often wondered. the worry is that once they know you're giving money, that you will be surrounded. maybe that is a silly thing to worry about, i don't know...

  • @menrightDOTcom you can fold the bill up so that it's very small, and then slip it into their hands as you walk or ride by. the last time I was in India I bought very small cloth bags and put bills in them; by the time they open it, you are gone. once in a while children may follow, but they will soon disperse, or you can slip into a store, etc. They can be interesting and nice to talk to. They are people, just like you and I.
