I think Melinda touching the floor at 0.37 is a mistake , though she make it look so natural ..... i love this couple!!!!

Where they went from being the clear winners into the bottom of the final. Not exactly on par level with the two different competing bodies. The main difference is that people expect different things from amateurs and professionals and the level of dancing is lower than in amatuers in the first few rounds before skyrocketing in top 12 area.

they have gotten weaker since they turned pro though. :/

but this rumba is perhaps the best i have ever seen them dance. ever.

Totally agree with everyone else, maurizio and melinda are by far my favourites here and should of won.

In no way was Maurizio overdancing. This is just the style I like to see from him. As for the mistake, there was no hiding it. It was so blatantly obvious. But it doesn't, or shouldn't matter if something like this happens. It's not if you fall or almost fall, it's how you pick it up after that. Of course some untalented judges would've used that as an excuse to push Stokkebroes first.

I know, I love their technique too. Most judges seem to dock them on the grounds that they "overdance" a lot. This criticism is usually directed at Maurizio, as his enthusiasm and athleticism often conflicts a more british dance aesthetic built around control and understated movement. In this video though, at 0:37, Melinda falls because her heel gets caught in her skirt. They're good at hiding it, but its a mistake. That may have hurt them in the comp.

Depends where you live. In Finland amateurs can teach and get their living off of dancing. I have to say I'm bamboozled they didn't win this competition. They show far superior technique and lead&follow when compared to Stokkebroes.

This level of amatures and pro isn't too far off from one another. In Europe amature couples and pro rank close together. These two just turned pro. WOW!

What´s the difference between amateurs and professionells? I can´t see any differences between them. For me they have the same skill...
