@OhFishyFish Well, I'm pro-children's theatre, so...Personally, I think your daughter would be able to appreciate the musical adaptation given her familiarity with the text, even if she doesn't understand it fully.
If she hasn't encountered Mexican rattlesnakes or talking animals with non-literal costumes, it's great exposure! And it'll also give her an idea of how other people read / interpret the same text - might be useful in the long run :)
@tygerbalm My 3yr old daughter loves Gruffalo (she actualy and pretends reading it as she remember whole story), but this looks a bit too much for such a young kid. Book isn't aimed in older children and knowing mine I'd doubt that 2-3yr olds will actually grasp the whole concept of girl not-looking-like-a-mouse-at-all and mexican reference to rattlesnake..
@OhFishyFish It's not that bad really, for children's theatre. The music is good, and you might learn a thing or two about storytelling with Olivia Jacob's use of the narrator. It's a new spin on the book

I thought I check youtube videos before taking my daughter to this show and I'm glad I did as it looks absolutely rubbish.
