  • @sc12100 And thats a fact! Im not saying that Martins are bad, its all about what you like, and even with Martins - some are better than others.

And instead of you guys arguing about what is a better guitar, why don't you show off your playing skills somewhere using your instruments and you can argue about who is better. Because there are a lot of Bull Sh*ters out there who will argue about whats a better guitar maker and yet they're just novices on their own guitars.

    Thats embarrassing.

  • Everyone here needs to chill the f*** out!I like all brands that make solid wood instruments. Some have strong quality and value in certain areas as well as some don't. This goes for ALL makers out there. Hell, I think even Yamaha makes good solid wood guitars. There are NO best guitar makers out there. Taylor has great quality for the $1000-$2000 range - IN MY OPINION. McPherson makes art out of their instruments but very pricey. Martins are great as well but over the years LACK volume.

  • @BlindTom61 First of all Martin still carves their joints. Matter a fact is the only company making real MT and DT. Yeah I said, Collings uses bolt ons.Collings sounds like a Gibson and Taylor. Now what did I say that wasn't the truth? I also said, Collings isn't handmade like everyone wants to believe. So tell me what I said, that wasn't true? Yes Martin cuts their necks to block form. They are carved to fit and shape. What can't you understand? Your mother should of swallowed.

  • some nice guys on here, sound more like 10 yr olds---old saying your losing the argument when you get nasty and mean.

  • @bluegrasssingingman @bluegrasssingingman You must be genetically stupid. First, I don't own a Collings, they come through my hands cause I deal about $30K of premium guitars a month. I play Martins, have since 1957.

Collings uses a M/T joint AND bolt attachments. Check the Collings Site if oyu ca spell. And if you are dumb enough to think Martin still hand carves their joints well I'm glad you married your cousin.

  • @BlindTom61 Well you need to learn about guitars then. You have pretty big balls. To sit here saying how Martins are CNC Machined. Martin are still carving there necks and neck joints. Your Collings is not hand made, and they use bolt ons. Collings are CNC Machined. Collings also cut there tops out with a laser. LOL You are the dumbest fucks on you tube. Hey cabinet maker ask a true Luther, if it matters in sound.A cheap HD-16R LSH will eat your Collings up. As you called them cheap.

  • @popoaggie You are clueless, 2500-8000 for a Collings. Then the Collings doesn't even have a true MT or DT neck. It is a bolt on, because they don't have the skill to make one. Yes it does effect the sound. I'm just referring to a couple post here. So go build your cabinets. Hey dummy a D-18 is Mahogany.

  • @popoaggie No, Zane is an intensely private guy for a young man. He plays around the Maggie Valley/Asheville area. Funny, he ordered a D-45 from John Arnold in 1994, finally got it last September. From what I've heard, it is an off-the-charts guitar. Funny story, a pedal-steel playing friend of mine stopped by the Fairchild home when Zane was 14. He was sitting on the couch picking the tar out of a D-18. Friend stopped by 15 years later and Zane was still on that couch practicing... -L-

  • @bluegrasssingingman Listen asshole, I was a cabinet maker for 20 years. I've forgotten more about joinery than you will ever know with your pea-sized brain. You have to be one of the dumbest fucks on youtube. Get lost and let the grownups have a conversation.

  • @BlindTom61 Have checked out his videos. Wow! That boy can pick and does remind me of Rice in the way he moves along the fingerboard. Economy of motion and a right hand that moves with little effort. Does he have any recordings out?
